Regulatory context and current practices

• Inventory of formal processes leading to policy and project approval in the EU and six member states. This sets the context for minimum legal requirements for public participation
• Review of public participation practices in CCS and other industrial or infrastructural projects, resulting in an overview of a.o. target groups addressed, concerns identified, communication materials used, extent of dialogue versus one-way information campaign.
• Map opinion-shaping factors prior to and after CCS project planning, and identify public information needs. Factors will be identified using findings from the case studies, project team brainstorms, press reports and scientific literature.
